A \"Mid\" bottom bracket is basically an American bottom bracket, BUT without using the bearing cups. Instead, the cups are integrated in the bottom bracket shell. The bearings just press-in! This is a larger diameter bottom bracket, and that means more welding area which creates a stronger frame. Also, one of the coolest looking additions is the seatpost tube \/ seat stay junction. We've extended the seat stays to wrap around the seatpost tube, and then connect to the top tube. This eliminates any flex in this area of the frame. And it looks killer, too!
